A Day in the Life of a Soaring High Pupil
9am – 12pm:
Great Lesson (on Mondays) – Presentation to school
The Work Cycle
Children will be engaged in working on the subjects agreed upon in their individual plan, including:
Numeracy – Literacy – Cultural – Science – History – Geography – French
12pm – 1.30pm:
Lunch / Outdoor Play / Voluntary Chamber Choir
On Thursday hot lunches are provided by Blackwell’s, a local, family run catering business and farm shop. They are committed to supplying quality produce sourced locally.
1.30pm – 3pm:
Art – Sport, including swimming & cross country running – Musical Activities – Forest School – Drama – Advanced Practical Life – Individual music lessons, including piano, flute, guitar, ukulele, individual singing lessons and recorder.
3pm – 3.15pm:
Children gather in their groups to reflect on their day, raise and resolve conflicts and compliment each other or acknowledge their own successes.
At certain times during the week we ask the children to participate in the Exercise of Silence, where children work on either a group task or individual exercises in complete silence, fostering mindfulness, group awareness and concentration.
After School Activities
We offer a range of after school activities including:
Science – Yoga – Fencing – Orienteering
